Main Features
Automatic Sorting
A sorting button will appear in the inventory and chests, which, when pressed, instantly arranges items in order. This helps find needed items more quickly.
Hotkeys
You can configure convenient key combinations for sorting, eliminating the need to manually search for the button.
Sorting with Mouse
You can sort the inventory by clicking the middle mouse button on an empty slot or double-clicking the left mouse button on it.
Sorting Commands
The game includes the commands /sort and /sortme, which instantly organize the inventory via chat.
Settings and Compatibility
The mod allows you to adjust sorting settings via the configuration file or through other mods like Mod Menu. You can define sorting order, disable unnecessary features, and create a list of inventories that will not be sorted.
Blacklist for Inventories
Starting from version 1.8.2, you can add inventories to the blacklist directly in the game. To do this:
-
Hold Left Ctrl and press the sorting button in the inventory.
-
Enter the command
/invsort blacklist(requires OP permissions).
There are two types of blacklists:
-
Do Not Sort – the sorting button will not appear in this inventory, but your main inventory can still be sorted.
-
Hide Buttons – sorting will be completely disabled, and sorting buttons will not appear in the inventory or open chests.
For the mod to work correctly, it must be installed on both the client and the server. This ensures stable sorting without unnecessary network load.
Conclusion
Inventory Sorting makes inventory management in Minecraft easier and faster. Now, you can spend less time searching for items and more time exploring and building.

- 2Download the mod file (.jar) built for that same version.
- 3Place the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder.
- 4Launch Minecraft with the modded profile and check the mod loads in-game.
